e-eAsel Shutting Down

After much deliberation, I have decided to shut down e-eAsel. This project/website had started as an over ambitious attempt to create open source software for artists to manage their business, and to provide reviews of software options available to artists. Other projects have always taken priority over e-eAsel, and the feedback for e-eAsel and ArtDatabase has been positive but extremely low. 

I will be keeping ArtDatabase hosted on Sourceforge, and the documentation archived on a more lightweight Google Site. This will allow it to still be publically available, and others can help with the development or take over the project if they wish to do so. 

More community level help to artists will eventually be provided through 2Picas, a company I started with a friend and fellow artist who is dedicated to giving back to the community. Some organization-level support is also available through organizations such as Technology in the Arts, Technology in the Arts Canada, Tech Soup and Tech Soup Canada.
