About Artifice
What is Artifice?
Artifice is a free weekly email list promoting art and culture in Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge and all areas in between. Send in posts about exhibitions, openings, festivals, calls for artists, events, screenings, benefits, auditions, concerts, job postings, performances, readings, meetings, artist talks—basically, as long as it somehow concerns “the arts”, it can be posted on Artifice!
The hope behind Artifice:
better communication = a more vibrant and active art community

The history of Artifice
Artifice was started by Julia Baird in November of 2005. In June of 2006, Julia moved to Toronto to pursue an exciting new opportunity and Artifice found its new home with e-eAsel.org.
